The Post I forgot to post on Friday:

Oops, forgot to post this on Friday:
Wow, what a week! Good mostly. My speech went well. I was soo nervous, and being the last one to go I had a lot of time to think about how nervous I was. Standing up, I walked to the front of the room and gazed out at the class while the professor shuffled her papers looking for which outline was mine. Finally I broke the silience: "No one has said it yet, but I'm really nervous being up here." Or something along those lines in a way that made people laugh. Hearing them laugh relaxed me. "I can do this," I thought. Yay for things going better than expected =-)

Today at work I started reading through the health counseling manual. It brought back memories of biotech class and counseling Tim and Courtney on their baby's XXY syndrome (even though the type of counseling I'll be doing is not genetic counseling). I found it really interesting, but I was so tired that it was hard to stay awake. But after about an hour my boss came back and changed me task to one that allowed me to fight with a computer. It's still bugging me trying to figure out how to get it to work. Maybe I'll cave and asked a computer science/engineering person, maybe. I'm pretty stubborn.

Sitting in the Hendrix center, I saw a girl across the room sitting with two friends. Was that my partner? Unsure, I just sat there. Finally, I asked, and sure enough she was. Poonam Joshi is her name. Guess what? She loves sports!! Which is something very uncommon in her country. Ever seen the movie Bend it Like Beckham? Yea, that's her (except she's not good at soccer she says). First thing she saidwas: "Hey, wanna grab dinner that we can bring with us and go see the NC State vs Clemson soccer game?" That's just awesome. Tomorrow she has a cricket match. She wants me to come play, but I don't think I have enough time. Hanging out with her is going to be fun. Maybe the CLPP program won't be such a burden...

Throw down my tiger one card, toss my phone on the sofa, and cut through to my suitemate's room only to find it dark. Something made me look a second time....oops....Amanda was asleep. She said that she had just woken up before I came in, but I still felt bad. "Want to go get coffee and bring it to Amy?" Yay for girl time. Amanda and I walked to Einstein Bros for coffee and muffins and than to Geer to meet Amy at work where we hung out and talked for awhile. We both left with the best intentions of doing homework....but ended up sitting in the room talking about life and faith. Its been really cool getting to know Amanda better this semester. She's wonderful =-)

I've had the worst reoccuring headaches this week. Everyday I've gotten a really bad headache, so bad that sometimes I couldn't see well. My distance vision would be completely blurry. Hopefully next week they'll be gone.

My Mom is coming tomorrow!! YAY!!! =-D
